Getting to Dujiangyan from Chengdu:

​

  • By Train: The easiest and quickest way to reach Dujiangyan from Chengdu is by high-speed train. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes, and trains depart frequently from Chengdu’s Xipu Station or Chengdu East Railway Station. The ticket price is approximately ¥15-¥20 (about $2-3 USD) for a second-class seat.

  • By Bus: You can also take a bus from Chengdu to Dujiangyan, which takes around 1.5 hours. Buses depart from various bus stations in Chengdu, such as Chadianzi Bus Station. The fare is around ¥20-¥25 (about $3-4 USD).

Getting from Dujiangyan to the Key Attractions:

  1. Dujiangyan Ski Resort:

    • Distance: The ski resort is about 50 kilometers (31 miles) from Dujiangyan.

    • How to Get There: You can take a taxi or a private car from Dujiangyan, which takes about 1 hour. Alternatively, some hotels offer shuttle services to the ski resort.

    • Cost: A taxi ride may cost around ¥150-¥200 (about $20-30 USD).

    • Entrance Fee: Ski resort entrance fees vary depending on the season and packages but typically start around ¥100-¥200 (about $15-30 USD). Equipment rental is extra.

  2. Mount Qingcheng:

    • Distance: Mount Qingcheng is only about 15 kilometers (9 miles) from Dujiangyan.

    • How to Get There: You can take a taxi or local bus (Bus No. 101) from Dujiangyan, which takes about 30 minutes.

    • Cost: A taxi ride may cost around ¥40-¥60 (about $6-9 USD), while the bus is typically under ¥5 (less than $1 USD).

    • Entrance Fee: The entrance fee for Mount Qingcheng is around ¥90 (about $13 USD). If you wish to take the cable car up the mountain, it costs an additional ¥60 (about $9 USD) for a one-way trip or ¥120 (about $18 USD) round trip.

  3. Panda Valley:

    • Distance: Panda Valley is about 7 kilometers (4 miles) from Dujiangyan.

    • How to Get There: You can reach Panda Valley by taxi in about 15 minutes. Alternatively, some local buses may take you close to the entrance, but a taxi is more convenient.

    • Cost: A taxi ride costs around ¥20-¥30 (about $3-5 USD).

    • Entrance Fee: The entrance fee to Panda Valley is approximately ¥60 (about $9 USD).
